Hosting packages

Set up the hosting packages you sell: disk quota, bandwidth and PHP version. Each package also records which servers it’s sold on. When you create an account, you only see the packages that are valid on that server, so a plan never lands somewhere it wasn’t meant for.

03 / What it does5 points

What it does.

A package should tell you what the customer bought, so the panel keeps it accurate for you. Move a customer from Start to Pro and the account counts on both packages update on their own. Unless you set the account’s quota by hand, it takes the new package’s quota. When you stop selling a package, retire it. Existing customers keep it, and it simply drops out of the list for new sales.

  1. Each package lists its quota, bandwidth, PHP version and number of attached accounts.

  2. The servers a package is sold on are part of its definition, so a new account is only offered packages valid on that server.

  3. Package names must be unique; rename one and its accounts move with it.

  4. Change an account’s package and both packages’ counters are corrected. Unless the quota was set by hand, the account moves to the new package’s quota.

  5. Retired packages stay in the list but are no longer offered for new sales.
